@Annie: Your mom’s right. That’s why in mainland China, they make fake tofu out of meat, to avoid that problem. For some reason, they sell real tofu in the States.

@Allen: Have you had the McChicken sandwich? I’m not so sure they’re not doing it now.

junk science is fun. my mom called me in a panic the other day because she read that tofu reduces sperm count. she ordered me to move carlos far, far away from it.

first of all, if sperm count were the only reason why we didn’t have kids, we’d have kids already.

second, china is, if i’m not mistaken, the most populous country in the world (or is it india)? either way china has a lot of people. i doubt tofu’s effects on sperm are that deleterious.

and finally, we had a lemon/potato curry served over a nice pile of tofu cubes for dinner last night. partly in defiance, and partly because we forgot to make rice.

It was 91 degrees here yesterday and it’s going to be 93 degrees today. If this trend continues, according to my calculations on August 7, 2018 it will be approximately 7,400 degrees…
