液體蛋 (Liquid Egg Product)
Preparing for when Beijing takes over in 2025
"I'll give it a B. I haven't read it, but it looks good; I read through half of a chapter."
-- Blue Devil Knight

“Just like two aspirin, parks can be very beneficial.”

So declares the American Land Rights Association (ALRA), who thinks we have too many parks.

But the reason they’re getting any attention at all is they’re going to boycott Minneapolis’ airport and Northwest Airlines. Why? Because that airport is where Senator Craig got caught soliciting gay sex in a public bathroom.

(Note: it takes more people than what ALRA’s got for an effective boycott. They can’t be all that big, considering they apparently have a staff of two.)

They believe that “by ambushing Senator Larry Craig, the Minneapolis St Paul Airport Police have effectively declared war on the West.” Any organization that can declare that with a straight face probably has a leadership consisting solely of inbred white folk.

Bias under a cloak of accuracy

Pavarotti is dead

Headline on the BBC (and a big headline on the Drudge Report): Syria ‘fires on Israel warplanes’

Headline on Al-Jazeera: Israeli jets ‘enter’ Syria airspace (Drudge has a lesser headline “Israeli planes had ‘dropped ammunition’ over desert areas of Syria…”)

Need I spell it out? The headlines are correct factually, but you get a completely different sense of the most relevant facts.

When you read a story on this page, at least you know beforehand that there’s going to be bias and a witty joke. Or a not-so-witty joke.

(As an aside: At least one of you has mentioned Liquid Egg Product is almost exclusively your source of news. After some reflection, this is more frightening than flattering, and I am hoping that declaration was hyperbole. If not, please get out more or something.)

In other news, Pavarotti dying is a big deal today.

(This post sucked, but I’ve got no time to polish it during work. Sorry.)
