Considering the following statement: “If you rip it off fast, it goes easier.”
1. What is the first meaning or situation that you associate with that statement?
2. What is the first meaning or situation not having to do with sex that you associate with that statement?

Now I have to walk across the parking lot to throw out my trash. Punks. (Incidentally, it appears that the dumpster that was there before was not intended for personal use.)
Now:

So far, anyway.
Miami beggars stand in the median and pretend they don’t own any shoes. Houston beggars offer to wash your windshield.
Probably with time, I’ll find as many almost-obvious fakers here as well.

(NOTE: Don’t really send email to this address. Use the link at the top.)
Comcast gave me this e-mail address when signing up–which is fine, I suppose, but I’ll never use it. So I’m sticking it up here to see how fast the spammers start hitting it. (Actually, I already received 5 spams, which is vaguely frightening.)
Remember, spammers: that’s donald.briggs@comcast.net. And I never check the account, so you won’t get a penny or hit from me.

They’re in Africa. Meanwhile, the Morons seem to have made the United States a most comfortable home.

The Mascot is a self-absorbed lech, even more than I knew. Sorry for any mental scarring. I’m glad you guys took him down a couple notches, and I have some more blows for him–figuratively and literally.
I laughed about 15 minutes non-stop at your comments over the weekend, so that was awesome. Now I have to catch up on this blog and your blogs, sneaking in a few minutes here and there during work.

[Note: The Mascot is filling in while I'm away for the weekend. If he becomes overly stupid or offensive, let me know on Monday so I can kick his shell.]
A certain reader *cough* Annie *cough* had the balls to challenge me to a masculinity contest. Well, feast your eyes on this!

Yep. Those perfectly formed biceps. The taut, darkened thighs. And yes, clear proof of what every man has between the thighs. I’ll bet Annie doesn’t have one of those!

As of Thursday, I was rather satisfied with the size of the blogroll: I didn’t want to link to 50 different indistinguishable blogs in some sort of back-scratching link exchange. Unfortunately, other people have to go out on the Internet and be reasonably interesting. (It should of note that there are a number of blogs that I occasion, but don’t feel their content particularly compelling. Personal friends and family always get listed whether they’re boring or not.
)
SO, I’ve decided to try to sort out the list to keep myself, as well as you straight. There are now four categories:
Chess Blogs Blogs with primary focus on chess. Blue Devil Knight, Chess Improvement, and ookwelbekendalsemc (don’t ask) are newly added.
Enemies: I Hate Pink! should be part of the Axis of Evil, and I will defeat her evil schemes one of these days.
Not-Enemies: Most everyone else. It should be noted that l3rucewayne’s Blog, Reassembler and Sailing to Byzantium deal with chess, but cover other topics as well. Reassembler in particular aims to be eclectic.
Zombies: Blogs updated once a month or less. They only remain linked b/c they’re friends.

Wow. Definitely some reaction to the President Cheney post (and that’s besides whatever’s in the comments).
To clarify: I don’t hate George Bush. I just don’t think he’s been that good of a president.
——
Here’s an idea for an experiment in blog traffic. Create a post that has the following properties:
The title is “George Bush and the Iraq War”
The optional excerpt is “George Bush and the Iraq War” (”Optional excerpt” may be specific to WordPress, otherwise, just whatever shows up on a feed)
The only content in the post is “George Bush and the Iraq War” (probably will work just as well with no content)
Then check for a traffic spike in a couple days. This is assuming, of course, the blogger doesn’t normally carry this kind of content normally.
