@Derek: It's all about taste, I suppose. For me, blowouts are fun for a half. Then the second half you know the winning team is going to ease up, which makes viewing less digestible. I'd rather games where my team is 9-14 points up. Enough to feel fairly comfortable, but close enough so that there's a reason to watch.

@BDK: One Miami's tight ends is Justin Peelle. Unfortunately, the Lemon-Peelle hookup is only memorable for the name.

The second catch was even better. Or equally good in a different way.

I assumed Miami had a young team because the coach is new this year. Listen, you can't have a quarterback named Lemon. That's the big problem.

Pats are fun to watch. I didn't see the first Moss TD but the first one was RE-diculous.

I am a truly rotten sports fan. I enjoy blowouts. Not so interested in close games. I'd rather crush people. Very Fischer-esque, now that I think of it. Ew.

You wanted to see the 4th quarter of that game? Then again, if it had been my team, I wouldn't have minded savoring the victory.

The Dolphins are actually not very young (especially on defense), and have stubbornly refused to rebuild for the past few years. On the plus side, I get to enjoy listening to complaining Dol-fans on the radio every Monday.

The Redskins aren't good enough to present a serious problem. Just don't tell the Pats. ;)

Here in North Carolina the damned network moved to a different game in the middle of the fourth quarter to show "a more competitive game." I was pissed.

The Dolphins have some talent, they are rebuilding they are young. I was expecting more from them, as many of their losses have been quite close, and they typically do very well against the Pats at home.

I'm hoping the Dolphins dust themselves off and hold their heads high. Nobody can win against the Pats when Moss is making catches like that. It was just mind-blowing, his two catches in the end zone. I was very happy Belicheck didn't run the score up. That shows he's human, even if he has no sense of humor (one of the announcers, after the interception return for a touchdown on the Pats second-string QB, said "And the thimblefull of sense of humor Belicheck has has now been drained." That was the moneyquote.

In two weeks will be the showdown. Patriots in Indianapolis. That will probably be the best regular season game of the year. Of course, don'tcount the Redskins out next week. They are 4-2 and I am worried Belicheck and the Pats will have their minds on the following week against Indy.
