The officer did advise me that #4 was not an option. Or at least not an option that would allow me to continue driving privileges.*
So what happened? Well, the fault was 100% mine, so there’s nothing to quibble about. The short version is that I made a right turn on red despite the “no turn on red” sign. Not knowing that a copper was camped a few hundred feet ahead waiting for people to make this exact violation.
The copper was nice, but that’s not going to make up for $106.70.
* Note to any government agencies and psychologists stumbling on this page: I don’t actually want to punch anyone in the face, and fully discourage that course of action.
