I’ve actually been to a chicken chain called “pollo campero”; it’s the Central American equivalent to KFC. The food tastes slightly superior..but only just. The chicken is actually marinated, not really breaded, but it is deep fried.

@chessloser: The Mexican sojourner! Hey, if you get a chance, you should check out a Mexican KFC and see if the food they sell is any different.

@l3rucewayne: Patronizing is a great word for that commercial. It’s a bit of an insult.

What kind of salesmanship is it to basically say to your customers “you don’t have what it takes to do what we do, so you better leave it to us.” I agree its a bad and somewhat patronizing ad.

sad thing is most people will watch it and just figure they are right, it´s futile to try and cook an actual meal, and will go eat fast food. also, KFC has the ability to buy in bulk, so they get a bazillion chicken legs for the price we pay for one chicken

The ad is done quickly and directed at glaze-eyed couch potatoes overloaded by bad TV. It would have been a better ad had it been focused on effort rather than finances. Because making fried chicken is kind of a pain in the buttocks. I do prefer Church’s.
