Left-handed? Play Guitar Hero?

Some people mention problems. Some eggs find solutions.

What happened is that this: Reassembler blabbed about how righties could play Guitar Hero left-handed to stimulate their brains, or some such nonsense. Which lead to a whole bunch of lefties stumbling onto his site looking for left-hand Guitar Hero controllers. Of course, they can’t find what they’re looking for.

Then Donnie recommended Derek create a post that tells everyone where to find one of those lefty controllers. So of course, Derek sloughs the work off on Donnie, who’s probably too lazy to do it.

That means it’s up to me. And based on extensive research I’ve found…

…you’re out of luck. If you want to spend a weekend soldering and stuff, you can make your own, or there’s a lefty option in the game but I dunno how much that helps. It’s too bad you weren’t born normal.

EDIT: Derek, you now have your infinite loop.

Rock Band has a lefty option. I wasn’t aware that Guitar Hero has one. Then again, not being a lefty, I don’t have much motivation to really look for it in the options mode.

@Allen: Never even heard of Rock Band! Shows you how out of the gaming loop I’ve fallen in the past seven years. (Or maybe it’s just obscure.) You could play left-handed to stimulate your brain…

@Mascot: Thank you for insulting all six (or so) of my left-handed visitors.

    it’s not obscure, youtube it.

It came out after guitar hero 3, it’s fairly new, it came out just before thanksgiving.

Rock Band is the game where you get two guitars, a drumset and a microphone, making it much better for a gathering.

I saw the drums in Wal-Mart the other day and I was intrigued. This Rock Band thing seems pretty cool. I also believe all southpaws should be accustomed to right-handed tools and if they want to just not play and cry about it then that’s just more play time for righties.

On an awkward chess note I just thought of… How many left-handed players move with their left hands and put the clock on the left side even when they’re Black?

Rock Band is made by the dudes who originally designed Guitar Hero, which is now owned & operated by EA or somebody. However, the originators still get royalties from their GH controller patents. That’s what I read on the Internet so it must be true.

[...] That’s why they won’t make you a Guitar Hero controller. (I am hopeful of creating an infinite pingback loop with Liquid Egg Product here.) [...]

due to my hand surgery i went on a quest for a left hand trackball. closest i could find was something ambidextrous. annoying.

so now I just use s cheapie mouse for my left hand.

You know if one of yous could MAKE a leftie control, that’s a lotta money. Just a thought.

Thank you everyone for your information on Rock Band. Still not interested, though.

Annie, when was this hand surgery?

PEople its not a real guitar …. how hard can it be to push a bunch of stupid buttons upside down. Hey, if jimmy can play a strat upside down… surely any guitar hero wizard can push a buttom upside down.
