Lessons learned in 28 years of life
- It’s better to be excellent in a few things than kinda good at a lot of things.
- A lot of movies make you want to root for the bad guy.
- When a single girl invites you home, it’s not necessarily for a game of Parcheesi.
- People are prejudiced, and it’s part of human nature.
- I can’t dunk on a 10-foot rim.
- It doesn’t take as much as you think to make a difference.
- Writing good blog posts is not simple.
- Don’t get trapped in conversations with overly eager 55-year-old men.
- Even one mistake can ruin a reputation.
- Just when you’ve figured things out, you haven’t.
- Almost everyone has a better haircut than Scot Pollard.
- People operate for their own self-interest.
- It depends on what the definition of is is.
- Don’t make lists too long, even if much more could be listed. Readers lose focus.

Genius! You are a clever dude.

I’m prejudiced.
But I’ve never invited a man up to my place. And if I do, it wouldn’t be for Parcheesi either. I’d much prefer checkers.

techne: Thanks, but I’m only clever once in a while.
annie: Come to think of it…checkers is a better game.
