Logic Fail
“The Bible is not less valid just because some of it isn’t true or factual.”
Found in the comments of the article 15 Answers to Creationist Nonsense. Of course, it’s a raging evolution vs. creation debate. LEP will refrain from fruitlessly commenting.

I am in San Diego visiting my in-laws and getting a good dose of sun. For pure entertainment value,we decided to stop by the Creation and Earth History Museum. (for a flavor: http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/9416)
I wore my MIT shirt to be a radical. My first suspicion as to the “logic” of the earth being ONLY 6000 years old was the how the speed of light apparently has slowed down from near infinity since back then to what it is now due to entropy :\
Not to worry, to balance things out, we decided to visit the Unariua Academy of Science ( http://www.unarius.org/start.html) and investigate its claims of interdimnesional physics and past lives.
I think I am suffering from spiritual whiplash.
Reply to blunderproneRecently, while visiting my in-laws in San diego, we decided for pure entertainment value to visit the “Creation and Earth History Museum”. They lost me right away with the speed of light not being constant. According to the creationists, 6000 years ago when the earth was born, light traveled near infinity and has been slowing down since through a process of entropy. :/
To balance our day we stopped by the Unarian Academy of Science to learn about multidemsional spiritual healing through past life enlightenment and aliens. The explanation as to why the grand gathering of the 32 spaceships never happend in 2001: “The earth simply wasn’t ready”.
Reply to blunderpronesorry for the repeat I didn’t realize my previous comment was moderated.
Reply to blunderproneBut what about all those peer-reviewed studies showing the speed of light is not constant?
Reply to DonnieIn order for it to go from (near) infinity to ~300,000,000 m/s today, it would have to be decelrating at a rate of 190,000,000,000 which would be significant in a short period of time… not like the slight vartiance noted in peer reviews
Reply to BlunderproneOh, LOL, I didn’t even know there was any research indicating the speed of light varied at all!
Reply to Donnieif light is decreasing due to entropy i better stock up on flashlights, batteries, candles, and matches.
Reply to annieAll the flashlights in the world won’t help once light slows down to the point where we can outrun it.
There’d be some wicked cool effects, though.
