March Madness
If, at the beginning of the college basketball season, you had told me that Baylor would be a 3 seed, while UConn and North Carolina would not even make the NCAA tournament, I’d ask what sort of alternate universe you came from.
Apparently, we are now part of this alternate universe.
(By the way — and I’m saying this as a Baylor alum — the Bears were seeded too high…they are more like a 5 seed.)
Once again this year, I have a Liquid Egg Product Tournament Bracket“>Liquid Egg Product bracket setup on ESPN. As the number of regular readers has steadily decreased over the past couple years, it should be easier for you to win this year.
As usual, there are no prizes for winning. No media interviews. No glory. Well, maybe a little glory.

I’ll gladly donate a McDoanlds Gift Card if the winner promises to order an Egg McMuffin.
Reply to AllenThanks, although so far it looks like I’m going to win by default. And no way I’m going to eat an Egg McMuffin — don’t need a riot on my hands right now…
Reply to DonnieI’m in again–once more this year, I hope that lack of knowledge is no handicap.
Reply to RobertWhen it comes to winning brackets, lack of knowledge is sometimes a benefit!
Although, if you remember last year, I think everyone in the LEP group (except for one) was below the 50th percentile nationally.
Reply to DonnieHeh, as of now I am so dead it’s not funny. I had Kansas-Villanova in the final, hehehe.
Reply to RobertThe good part about this year is that EVERYONE is dead somehow.
If I were a betting man, I’d have put huge money on A&M beating Purdue yesterday. It was a nice reminder of why I don’t gamble.
Reply to DonnieI pick Kansas!
Reply to Derek SlaterJust for the record: I WIN! I WIN! We were all pretty awful prognosticators but I was very slightly less awful!
Yay West Virginia!
Reply to RobertGreat, now we can’t pretend there was any suspense going into the final game.
Reply to DonnieI can’t believe I missed the bracket contest this year!!!
Reply to TomA lot of people weren’t in it this year, so…
Anyway, now that the tournament’s officially over, I can officially congratulate Robert on being this year’s winner! We’ll dedicate a post to his bracketology prowess.
Reply to DonnieShucks, it was nothing…since my teams were long gone I kind of wish Butler had won though, since now we have to listen to Blue Devil Knight crow a bit. However, he picked Villanova to beat Duke in the Elite 8 and I’m going to comment that on his blog unless he sends me money…
