Monday Fighter!

Unfortunately, we’re looking for a candidate who doesn’t try their hardest.

A perfect example of why to understand the job you’re applying for. This even goes beyond misspelling “iLife” and “iMovie”…
We openly laugh at wanna-bes who actually consider Word, Excel, and Outlook to be “programming skills”. Maybe unless they actually did some VBA scripting or something. Being able to create a spreadsheet is not exactly why we need to hire someone.

i’m shocked at the stuff i see on resumes - run-ons, misused apostrophes, misspellings, bad grammar…and a couple of these resumes were made by paid “professionals”. aren’t people in your field required to have a college education? yeesh, maybe a degree doesn’t guarantee polish.

A degree seems to be guaranteeing less and less nowadays.
For me, it takes a great resume to overcome a spelling/grammatical error, and maybe a mindblower can overcome two. After that, it’s just too easy to have doubts about the person’s willingness or ability to get things right.
