Oh, yeah, it’s college football season again
It shouldn’t be a surprise with a progressively more sporadic following of sports, but I was stunned to realize yesterday started the first weekend of college football.
Even more stunning was seeing this result plastered on sports websites: Applachian State 34, Michigan 32. To top it off, Michigan was playing at home. It was rumored that the city of Ann Arbor temporarily lowered the legal drinking age to allow UM students to drown their sorrows.
In a less compelling game, my Baylor Bears continued their M.O. of the last decade, getting pasted by TCU 27-0.

Baylor! Who knew.
I lived in Houston for one year, sixth grade. My brother later lived in Dallas.
As a UNC grad and a former Bengals fan (including the Horrible Years) I understand your football suffering, to some degree. Suggested solutions: Move to New England (before Brady gets hurt or old) and/or go to U of Florida for grad school.

My ex is a Gator, so I had the pleasure of enjoying (vicariously) their recent rash of success. Actually, I still root for UF, but that will probably fade with moving out of the state.
At least UNC has basketball.
