Olive green and red is in vogue in Venezuela
Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez is telling his army to prepare for a United States invasion. I’m still trying to figure out whether he really believes it, has started to become delusional and paranoid, or is merely using fear to help keep people in line.
Dressed in olive green fatigues and a red beret, Chávez spoke inside Tiuna Fort—Venezuela’s military nerve-center—before hundreds of uniformed soldiers standing alongside armored vehicles and tanks decorated with banners reading: “Fatherland, Socialism, or Death! We will triumph!”
There’s just something about Chávez that makes me think “in 5 years, he’s weird megalomaniac guy”. Maybe it’s just the media coverage of him that we get here. Hmmm…I should secure an interview with him and see for myself.
