Slightly more people like Bush than I thought

To see the words “Bush” and “hero’s welcome” in conjunction with each other was a minor jolt in itself. To see that this event occurred in a foreign country was doubly curious.

As it turns out, the Albanians are quite satisfied with Bush, destroying my hypothesis that Britain and Poland were the only remaining countries that tolerated the US*. It seems to mostly have to do with Bush supporting Kosovo’s independence, which I’m sure does wonders with US-Serbian relations. Well, you can’t have everything.

*Yes, that’s tongue-in-cheek. Nonetheless, it’s clear diplomacy has not been a strength of the Bush administration.
