Too bad Garry’s having a few issues, what with dealing with the Kremlin and everything.

@Chessaholic: Yes, a perfect commercial for chessplayers. Except everyone knows Kasparov. The number of players who’ve even heard of the Mascot takes only 3 digits to write.

@Ray: Then Garry’s 2, Wahrheit’s 3, Mascot’s 4, chessloser’s 5…and hopefully by the time it gets to me, we’ll be too wasted to have a 6th.

This has got to be the funniest post since I started reading your blog… hilarious. I’m sure every chess player has seen some picture or other of Kasparov with a look on his face that’s a mixture of torture/disgust when his opponent played a sub-optimal move. That’s the image that came to my mind immediately here… a wasted Mascot confidently playing 1.h4 with a drunk smile, Garry looking on in disgust… This would really make one heck of a commercial (for chess players anyways).
