File this under “more because it looks cool”. Thinking Machine 4 plays chess, but the neat-o part is that it graphically shows what the computer’s thinking.

The computer’s not that good (or, more accurately, it’s not a strong tournament player, but it will beat the guy off the street), and I’m slightly embarrassed to say that I lost to it. Yeah, it was an overlooked tactic; the only excuse is that I was doing something else at the same time as well.

    that was super extra freakin cool, but i could only get to move 4 before i couldn’t take it anymore. the second before it decides it’s move, when the board is one big jimi-hendrix acid trip, THAT is how i see the board when i play. hence my high level of suck…
