Tournament of Lepers 2, Week 3
| Week 3 Pairings | |
| White | Black |
| Polly | Chessaholic |
| Sciurus | Drunknknite |
| Blunderprone | Tom |
| Takchess | Wang |
| Wahrheit | Ivan |
| Donnie | The Bye |
Once I get the rest of the results, I’ll do the crosstable. Has drunknknite become “The Bye” of the Alex Chiu division? He hasn’t updated his blog in a while and I hadn’t heard that he played either of the first two games.

Hey Drunknknite: Everything after Wed would be perfect for me, but let me know if you prefer something earlier in the week and I see what I can do.
Donnie: Good that domain quality control caught management!

Wahrheit,
Would 10 pm your time work today? That is midnight central time. If not Tuesday same time?

I was schedule to play drunknknite in week 1. We have not been able to play yet. He told me at that time that he was very busy right now and may have to withdraw.

hm.. if drunknknight withdraws, the chance of someone achieving perfection of superiority rises substantially. Although this is balanced out by the decrease in chances of someone achieving perfect of mediocirty….

It’s going to be very tough for me to play. I’m in Israel right now for the next two weeks which makes the time hard to work out, and also I’ve just been really busy. So I think I will have to withdraw unfortunately. Sorry guys…

Drunknknite: no worries, enjoy your stay in Israel!
Donnie: let me know if you get bored playing The Bye this week. I’d like to play, even if it is out of the official competition (having lost my first two games I sure won’t win anyway).

Blunderprone and I played to a draw.

Yes indeed. A nice Slav against a QGD transposed from a London start. I blundered first! then I was given a chance to redeem… but faced with a deadly embrace… it was agreed upon a draw. How to post the game to tacticus is still a perplexing problem to me. Feel free to rip them form FICS.

Hey Polly, didn’t see you online today at 7 PM PST? We can play tomorrow at the same time if that works for you.

Unfortunately, work had me tied up. Was planning on at least catching a bit of the games.
@Drunknknite: Unfortunate, but thanks for letting us know. Enjoy your stay in Israel!
@Sciurus: I’ll be on sporadically, but if let me know when you are usually able to get on, I’ll try to hang around during those times.

Polly: ugh, today it was my turn to mess things up…. got tied up at work and didn’t make it home in time for our game, sorry if you waited for me. How’s tomorrow (Thursday) at 7 PM PST or alternatively Saturday 10 AM PST?

@Ivan: If there are more than two links in a comment, it automatically gets sent to the moderation bin. (Including the word “sister” will also send it to moderation if you wish to send me anything not for the public).
I probably should make some sort of whitelist, but am not sure if there’s the capability.

Hi Chessaholic. Thursday is not good for me. I’ll be having my weekly cracktion fix at the Marshall CC. I’m not totally sure about my Saturday plans yet. If you could do 1 or 2 pm pst on Saturday that would work better for me. Friday evening also works. I’m getting into time pressure as I leave the country on Monday. I don’t think anyone can deal with the 11 hour difference!

Hi Polly: Saturday 1 PM PST works for me too, so let’s aim for that. If your Saturday plans change, we’ll find another time even with the 11h difference

Maybe I needed to screw up the time zone thing again. Fritz seemed to like the bishop trade better then moving it. Fritz also thought I should have moved my king sooner. Nice win. You played ending nicely.
PS. To whom ever I’m playing next week. I think the 11 hour time difference is going to be too hard to manage. At 9 am Seoul time I don’t think I’m gonna be sitting in my hotel room surfing the net. Unless you can play at noon when it will be 11 pmthe following day I don’t think it will work.
