Are there any more Week 7 results?
As I calculate it, drunknknite only needs a draw in his last two matches (counting the week 7 match) to clinch victory. Wahrheit is still mathematically alive; he’d win based on head-to-head victory if drunknknite loses his final two. EDIT: Polly is too, I think. If she can beat Tacticus and chessloser AND drunknknite loses his next two, Polly, Wahrheit, and drunknknite will all have 6 points. I’m not sure how to do that tiebreaker yet, since drunknknite beat Polly, Polly beat Wahrheit, and Wahrheit will have beaten drunknknite.
Unfortunately, gorckat’s disappearance means the original “big prize” is not going to be distributed. I’ll have alternative arrangements ready for the coronation next week.
l3rucewayne got the better of Wahrheit in a tactical match when they were both rather tired, going to sleep immediately after finishing. There were a couple interesting puzzle-like positions which I’ll extract and post for your consideration.
I was going to post the Tom-l3ruce match but don’t have the pgn. Do either of you guys have it?
As far as my match, I sacrificed an Exchange for an unclear attack, but with better results. Crafty actually agreed with all my moves after the sac, but Fritz (which I finally retrieved this weekend) found some White resources. Both computers still had the position as =/+ even after the sac, which was surprising. But neither thought the sac was worth it.
oh crap, was i supposed to play polly? i’ve not been around, i need to catch up on the playing…

I looked the wahrheit game over the next day with the computer and we both missed chances to gain material. One chance in particular made me want to kick myself for being hasty, but I might have missed it anyway.
The match with tom you can get the pgn by examining it with babas and then saving it to (b)pgn from the file tab. I put it in my journal as game 11 so it wont disappear till you have it.
As to the drunknknite match, we are working on catching each other at the right time, I’ve let him know I’ll be on at 17:00 server time each day so when he can make it it will happen. Thanks for mentioning how he needs only 2 more draws to clench it, maybe he actually will go through with our “prearranged draw” now, but it is unlikely I think. As to our match, It will need to be before the weekend as I’m going to be traveling again soon and I probably wont be bringing my computer with me. So when is good for you?

I beat Polly. If Warheit loses to drunknknite; I beat chessloser; LEP beats 13ucewayne I think we have a 4-way tie for second.

Hey I may not be able to make second outside of a miracle but if I win the last round ill have won against a majority of the second placers, so there! (admittedly luck may have been a key factor in the games so far, but still…)
How about 15:00 server time tomorrow/Wednesday for our game?

If we got done in thirty minutes that might work, or we could try for 21:00 by which time I will hopefully be home from Bible study. Which would you prefer? Or we could try for late night Thursday. I’ll be on for a little while at 15:00 (on now in fact) in case you are able to make it.

He made a big error with a winning game, then i made some smaller errors and went from largely ahead to just a minor piece ahead. then i offered a draw and he refused, then later he offered a draw and i decided to go ahead and try for it and I won!!!!
