I tried to find the price on one of these … gizmodo had linked to Amazon, but Amazon no longer carries it. All i could find was something similar on eBay (same item, different character inside) for a Buy It Now price of $14.99.

And from what I have been told not going to be produced any more. Simple instructions on how to love and care for your “Dora” interactive pet. “Dora” has many moods. Feed her and play with her. She responds to your voice. Discover her songs and dances. She plays with other Dora the Explorer interactive pets. Get her before she’s gone for good.”

yes this is actually real. it would have been a good bachelorette party gift except that it’s now probably a collector’s item. and more money than i’d pay for to have a phallic shaped toy with a little girl’s picture on it.
Hilarious!
I especially like that the scrotum has nipples. That really ices the cake.

Dora the Explore-her.
Reply to The Mascot@BDK: The batteries are what put it over the top for me.
I didn’t even notice the nipples. That’s had to have happened to some guy somewhere, right?
@Kate: Sounds like this isn’t going on your Christmas gift list.
@Caro: Um, thanks. Looks like they hide the “testicles” to trick more parents into buying it.
@Annie: Only $20 or so bucks. Plus they probably used high-quality materials, so it will last a long time…
WTB = want to buy
@Chessaholic: It’s a good thing kids don’t read this site (as far as I know)
@Mascot: Thank you for your invaluable contribution.
